Highlights Nature, nature, nature Peace and quiet Royal Palace ‘t Loo The National Park Hoge Veluwe is one of the largest national Parks of the Netherlands. Here you will find 5400 hectare of forests, moorlands, fenland and drift sand. You can cycle for hours and you will find peace and quiet here. Have you ever encountered a deer or a wild boar? You might at the Hoge Veluwe! You will start at Apeldoorn in the heart of the beautiful National Park. From Apeldoorn you cycle right through the park to Putten or you can make a de-tour in order to visit the Kröller Möller Museum with its world-renowned collection of mainly 19th and 20th century visual art. The centre pieces include the large collection of work by Vincent van Gogh and the sculpture garden. In Putten you can visit the Sauna-drôme and have a relaxing day off. From Putten you cycle to the estate Stakenberg, where your hotel is situated. On your way you will cycle through the Leuvenumse forest or the Elspeter moorlands. A diverse landscape with forests, moorlands, brooks and hills. You might encounter the shepherd with his sheep that graze on this lands. Back in Apeldoorn you may still have time to visit the Royal Palace ‘t Loo where for 3 centuries the Dutch Royal family has lived.
