The Lock Keeper's tour
Go back in time . 7 days . ship name Latitude Amsterdam (Comfort DeLuxe) . tour code CLO
Bike Barge canada 2010

Level of Difficulty: Easy, flat route. Presents little or no difficulty.

For the 5, 12 and 19 June 2010 departures of the Lock Keepers Tour, every passenger will receive a ticket to attend the new 2010 road show of the Cirque du Soleil (www.cirquedusoleil.com). This new show will launch on 22 April 2010 at the Quays of the
Old Port in Montreal and will then travel to Quebec City and Amsterdam.

Founded in 1642 on a large island of the majestic St. Lawrence River, Montréal has blossomed into a fascinating city. Heart of Quebec’s economy and host to numerous world-class cultural events, Montreal embraces its past and offers the traveler a multi-facetted experience. The city is collection of contrasts, where wide open spaces and skyscrapers, heritage and technology, Europe’s tastes and America’s beats live side by side in complete harmony.

Follow the steps of those who have built Montréal and tamed the rapids of the mighty St. Lawrence in their quest to the west. The Lock Keeper’s Tour winds through cityscapes and bucolic landscapes following a bike path network that arouses envy throughout the world. You will live an intimate and breathtaking experience painted in blue and green with rivers, canals, locks, lakes, open spaces, and natural habitats. Historic and archaeological sites will connect you with the past of this young and energetic nation. You will travel through time, going back as far as 5,000 years ago to explore the lives and customs of its First Nations and its early settlers.

Taste the flavours of Québec, feel Montréal’s joie de vivre, and be charmed by the calm paths along Canada’s mightiest river. This comfortable, cajoling trip is a simple way to slow down for a few days and go back in time.
