Renovation winter 2015/2016
Exact one year ago the Liza Marleen was in the docks for a major renovation. Air-conditioning in all cabins, 8 comfort cabins with low beds and private facilities, 2 superior cabins with low beds and private facilities, a spacious terrace on the roof of the salon and new furniture in the salon.
First decade of the 20th century
This is the latest chapter in a long history of this vessel. It was build in the first decade of the 20th century as a seafaring freight logger.
At the end of the 20h century the vessel was no longer in use and was just waiting for a her new future. In 1997-1998 the vessel became the “Liza Marleen” is a luxury motor passenger barge, built in 1997-98 on the completely dismantled shell of the seafaring freight logger. With 13 cabins with bunks beds it was equiped for bike & barge groups up to 34 passengers. It was one of the first especialy for bike & barge tours build barges for Cycletours with private facilities.
2016 – ????
This barge is suited for small groups up to 22 persons trips on the wider waterways, like the Dutch Waddenzee, the IJsselmeer and the Zeeland Streams, but it can also be found cruising on the smaller inland waterways of the Netherlands and Belgium. In the winter we use her as hotelboat for Amsterdam citytrips.
